Iron Maiden adalah kelompok musik heavy metal yang didirikan pada 1975 di London, Britania Raya oleh pemain bas Steve Harris. Mereka telah meraih kesuksesan dan mempengaruhi banyak kelompok musik lainnya. Mereka juga dianggap sebagai salah satu band dalam New Wave of British Heavy Metal.

Led Zepplin

Led Zeppelin were an English rock band that formed in September 1968. Led Zeppelin consisted of Jimmy Page (guitar), Robert Plant (vocals, harmonica), John Paul Jones (bass guitar, keyboards) and John Bonham (drums, percussion). With their heavy, guitar-driven sound, Led Zeppelin is regarded as one of the first heavy metal bands.^[1][2] Their rock-infused interpretation of the blues and folk genres^[3] also incorporated rockabilly,^[4] reggae,^[5] soul,^[6] funk,^[7] classical, Celtic, Indian, Arabic, pop, Latin, and country. The band did not release the popular songs from their albums as singles in the UK, as they preferred to develop the concept of album-oriented rock.^[8]

Over 25 years after disbanding following Bonham's death in 1980, Led Zeppelin continue to be held in high regard for their artistic achievements, commercial success, and broad influence. The band have sold more than 300 million albums worldwide,^{[9][10][11][12][13]} including 111.5 million sales in the United States^[14] and they have had all their non-compilation studio albums reach the U.S. Billboard Top 10.^[15] Led Zeppelin are ranked No. 1 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.^[16] Rolling Stone magazine has described Led Zeppelin as "the heaviest band of all time" and "the biggest band of the 70s".^[17]

On December 10, 2007 the surviving members of Led Zeppelin reunited (along with deceased drummer John Bonham's son Jason) for the Ahmet Ertegün Tribute Concert at The O₂ in London.

Eddie Van Halen

Edward Lodewijk "Eddie" Van Halen (born January 26, 1955)^[1], is a Dutch-American guitarist, keyboardist, songwriter and producer most famous for being the lead guitarist and a co-founder of the hard rock band Van Halen.


Childhood

Edward Van Halen was born to Jan van Halen, a Dutch father, and Eugenia, a Javanese mother, in Amsterdam, Netherlands and spent his early childhood in Nijmegen in the east of the country. The Van Halen family moved to Pasadena, California, United States, from the Netherlands in 1962. Edward immediately started classical piano training, and won several talent competitions as a child. Upon their arrival in the United States, his parents immediately sought a piano tutor for him and his older brother, Alex Van Halen.^[2]

However, playing the piano did not prove sufficiently engaging - he once said in an interview, "Who wants to sit in front of the piano? That's boring." Consequently, whilst Alex began playing the guitar, Eddie bought a drum kit and began practicing drumming. After Eddie heard Alex's performance of the The Surfaris' drum solo in the song "Wipe Out", he grew annoyed that his brother had overtaken his ability and decided to switch and begin learning how to play the electric guitar.

He has stated that he would often walk around at home with his guitar strapped on and unplugged, practicing. Its said that he would sit in his room for hours with the door locked, as a teen practicing the guitar. He once claimed that he had learned almost all of Eric Clapton's solos in the band Cream "note for note" by age 14; in later interviews he stated he could never play the solos precisely, instead he would modify them slightly to suit his style.

In April 1996, in an interview with Guitar World, when asked about how he went from playing his first open A chord to playing "Eruption", Eddie replied:

“

Practice. I used to sit on the edge of my bed with a six-pack of Schlitz Malt talls. My brother would go out at 7pm to party and get laid, and when he'd come back at 3am, I would still be sitting in the same place, playing guitar. I did that for years — I still do that.[3]

”

Eddie has many influences, most notably Eric Clapton. He has also acknowledged the influence of Queen guitarist Brian May and fusion guitarist Allan Holdsworth, as well as the likes of Montrose guitarist Ronnie Montrose.

Van Halen

Van Halen adalah grup musik hard rock asal Amerika yang namanya diambil dari dua bersaudara yang menjadi anggotanya, gitaris Eddie Van Halen dan drummer Alex Van Halen. Van Halen bersaudara ini masih keturunan Indonesia^[rujukan?].

Pada tanggal 13 Agustus 2007 Van Halen mengumumkan reuni bersama penyanyi David Lee Roth untuk tur Amerika Utara pada bulan September. Michael Anthony akan digantikan oleh anak Eddie Van Halen, Wolfgang. Sementara itu Anthony sendiri bergabung dengan mantan penyanyi Van Halen Sammy Hagar dalam band yang diberi nama The Other Half.
